The Learning Schools project addresses a common problem in education systems of most European countries - the loss of knowledge and experience in the retirement of teachers or when changing the workplace due to the lack of established collection practices, synthesizing and sharing knowledge within the school. The aim of the project is to contribute to the improvement of individual, team and organizational learning in schools through the development of a knowledge management system and a set of practical tools, integrated into an electronic platform.
The title of the project tells the students to start "ECO-actions" that they will have reflection on the future, adhering to the idea of sustainability while protecting the environment in which we live. Learning about the natural environment through the concept of 'action-oriented learning' students will be motivated to learn and be proactive. The students are aged 11-14. Those interested will be included in a club according to their interest. They will play an active role in the project. The rest who will not participate directly will develop awareness of the importance of protecting and caring for the natural environment.

The main goal of the "My school is cool" project is to equalize the educational opportunities in the mother tongue, English language, mathematics and science of students from 11 to 13 years through cooperation between students with high educational abilities and students with lower educational abilities and improving of learning motivation. The most important priority is for students to acquire and develop knowledge in terms of basic abilities and key competences.

In general, the project was very successful, both for students and teachers.
Six schools from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Romania are included in the project. Teachers and students will be part of it, working on the different activities and keeping in touch through the eTwinning platform, Skype, emails and letters. Teachers will prepare their students to debate in English on predetermined topics. During the mobilities abroad, they will be involved in mixed teams from representatives of different countries. A jury of students will hear and decide in favor of one team or the other according to the persuasiveness of the arguments. Debates will provide an opportunity to practice English, and students will can defend their opinions, appreciate diversity of ideas and learn to take responsibility for their words and actions. In case of mobility abroad, the students will be accommodated in the families of their peers, participants in the project. The visits will include visits to places of interest, sights and museums.
